COAL GROVE, OH (WOWK) — Coal Grove Mayor Andy Holmes was jailed early Saturday morning on charges of felony assault, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and felony resisting arrest.
According to Lawrence County Jail, where Holmes was taken, he was arrested at his house by the Ironton Police Department. The exact circumstances leading up to the arrest have not been shared at this time.
He was reportedly jailed around 3 a.m. on Saturday and later released around 10:30 a.m. the same day.
Holmes has been mayor of Coal Grove since 2024, having previously served on the village council.
